Full description

There is no better way to explore Barcelona than on a bike. We will rent the best professional bike for you and show you the city’s top attractions and lesser known spots. Get active and learn about Catalan and Spanish history and culture while exploring the city in the most efficient and environmentally friendly way.

During the 2-hour tour, you will hop on your bike and explore the oldest part of the city. the Gothic Quarter. The first sight on the route will be the historic Ciutadella Park, housing the Palace of the Parliament of Catalonia, ornate museums, fountains and a boating lake. From there, you will cycle towards Arco de Triunfo, a classical archway built as the main entrance to the Universal Exhibition hosted by the city in 1888.

Cycle through the maze of narrow streets to the gorgeous, ornate Art Nouveau to the Palau de la Música Catalana, then to the magnificent Gothic Barcelona Cathedral. The cathedral is surrounded by remnants of the city’s ancient past, the Roman wall from the 1st-4th century BC. Follow your guide through the Bishop’s Street to Pl. de Sant Jaume where you will see the medieval Palau de la Generalitat, which houses the government. Other points of interest will be the 15th century Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi and the soaring 14th century Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar, which inspired the best-selling novel “Cathedral of the Sea”.

Choose the 4-hour option to see even more amazing sights. The extended route includes cycling through the charming Eixample district to the 1914 former bullring La Monumental. Further on you will relax at the scenic Plaça de Gaudí park while admiring the surreal Basilica de La Sagrada Familia. Take a closer look at the details of the phenomenal design by Antoni Gaudi and learn abouts over 100 years of its construction history. You will also see Casa de les Punxes and 2 other amazing designs by Gaudi – the Catalan art nouveau period Casa Milàwith query-like facade Casa Milà, and Casa Batlló, with fantastical, curving dragon rooftop.

Pick the 6-hour option to become an expert of Barcelona Old Town monuments and nature spots. In addition to the aforementioned sights, you will also see one of the city’s lesser known, yet still extremely impressive, tourist spots – the fabulous Modernista Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. Another point of interest will be the wonderful Park Güell, featuring mosaic-covered buildings like Casa del Guarda, the Dragon Stairway and numerous sculptures. You will also see the grand Casa Vicens Gaudi, designed by Gaudi, with Moorish influences and a protruding corner tower. There will also be some free time to grab Pa amb tomàquet or other Catalonian snack.
