Activity details
With countless islands, bridges and historical monuments, there is no better way to explore Wroclaw,”The Venice of the North”, than on a bike. Join our Bike Passionate Guide on a cycling tour around the most spectacular Old Town monuments and nature spots. Get active and fall in love with the sights of Wroclaw!
During the 2-hour tour, you will hop on a professional bike and follow your Local Guide along the beautiful, well-maintained cycling roads and streets. From the National Forum of Music you will cycle to the historic Kazimierza Wielkiego street, where you will see an 18th century palace with a Baroque-style garden, which now houses the City Museum of Wroclaw. Wroclaw Old Town will surprise you with its charms, the old colorful tenement houses, the iconic 14th century Gothic St Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic parish, and Hansel and Gretel Houses.
Cycle around the medieval Market Square to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of this city, and discover the history of the Old Town Hall and Pillory (Pregierz). The route will continue along the scenic Oder River, where you will see the University of Wroclaw, and through some of Wroclaw’s lovely islands, such as Wyspa Piasek and Wyspa Slodowa. Explore the architectural monuments of Ostrow Tumski, or the Cathedral Island, with many churches, monasteries, Archbishop’s Palace and one of the most iconic symbols of the city – Cathedral of St John the Baptist. You will also see the National Museum, Panorama of the Battle of Racławice, and the City Hall. By the end of the tour, you will feel as if Wroclaw is your home!
Choose the 3-hour option to learn even more about Wroclaw and see more historical and modern landmarks. The extended route will include more quiet nature spots, such as the forested Szczytnicki Park. You will also see sites that are more popular among the locals than among the tourists, such as the Pergola, the Multimedia Fountain, the Four Domes Pavilion, and the iconic Iglica – a nearly 100-m. steel spire in front of the grand, circular Centennial Hall. To make the experience even better, the guide will also treat you to some delicious Polish donuts!
