Our guide knew so many stories about the 1755 earthquake and the rebuild of baixa. We walked past arco da rua augusta and down to praça do comércio. The alfama streets felt alive with fado music coming from small houses. A lovely local perspective, though the pace was a bit quick for photos.

Friendly guide who pointed out the cathedral and the church of saint antony. The miradouro de santa luzia view was stunning at sunset. We learned about the old jewish quarter and the roman wall. Would have liked a bit more time at each stop.

Enjoyed wandering the maze of alfama lanes and finding little artisan shops. The explanation about the tagus and the voyages of vasco da gama was really clear. Guide made history interesting and spoke in plain language. We ended at chafariz d'el-rei which was a nice surprise.

Great way to get oriented in lisboa old town. The guide showed architectural details on cidade hall and ornate façades around baixa. I liked the mix of big landmarks and hidden alleys. Small detour into a fado house felt very authentic.

Informative walk with lots of historical facts about the age of discoveries. The church nossa senhora da conceição velha was more beautiful than I expected. Guide had fun anecdotes and answered questions patiently. A tiny bit noisy near praça do comércio but still worth it.
