Activity details
Book a 2-hour private tour of Buenos Aires' Jewish heritage and walk through one of Latin America's most historically significant Jewish quarters. Your Licensed Guide will lead you along Libertad Street, home to the imposing Templo Libertad—Argentina’s first synagogue and a beacon of cultural pride. While entry isn’t included, you’ll admire its stunning façade and learn about the Jewish diaspora’s early roots in Argentina. Nearby, you’ll pass the Museo Judío de Buenos Aires, where stories of immigration and integration unfold through its collections and architecture.
Continue to the Buenos Aires Holocaust Museum, where your guide will shed light on Argentina’s role during and after WWII, highlighting the stories of survivors who rebuilt their lives in this city. The tour culminates at the AMIA (Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina), a symbol of both cultural unity and tragedy. Here, your guide will reflect on the 1994 bombing, one of the darkest moments in Argentine-Jewish history, and its lasting impact on the community and nation.
This private experience offers a powerful and personalized way to connect with Argentina’s Jewish legacy. You’ll benefit from the undivided attention of your guide, who will tailor the commentary to your interests and ensure a meaningful journey through memory, identity, and resilience.
Book a 3-hour private tour to enhance your experience with entry to the Museo Judío de Buenos Aires Dr. Salvador Kibrick. Explore a fascinating collection of ritual objects, photographs, and historical documents that bring the city's Jewish story to life from the inside.
Book a 4-hour private tour with full itinerary coverage by private car and museum entry included. This extended experience adds comfort and depth, including stops at Plaza Libertad, a quiet square with rich architectural surroundings; the iconic 9 de Julio Avenue, one of the widest boulevards in the world; and the Israeli Embassy Memorial, a solemn site commemorating the 1992 attack. You’ll also see the Plaza General San Martín, a stately public space tied to Argentina’s military and immigrant history. With the flexibility of private transport, you'll gain a broader understanding of Jewish heritage in Buenos Aires, set against the city’s vibrant urban backdrop.
