Book a 3-hour private walking tour of Amsterdam’s Jewish Quarter to discover sites linked to Jewish history and World War II. This is an excellent way to deepen your understanding after visiting the Anne Frank House (tickets not included). Follow your guide to the Anne Frank statue near the Westerkerk, the same church Anne saw from her hiding place. Nearby, see the Homomonument, a tribute to LGBT victims of Nazi persecution.
Walk to the square outside the Royal Palace, where the National Monument honors the victims of WWII. In the former Jewish neighborhood, learn how the Portuguese Synagogue safeguarded Jewish relics during the war. See the National Holocaust Names Monument, where thousands of names are etched in memory. Visit the Auschwitz Monument and the Jewish Deaf Victims Memorial, near the former Reformed Kweekschool, which played a key role in rescuing Jewish children.
Choose the 4-hour option to include private transportation. Enjoy a 1-hour round-trip transfer with pickup and drop-off at your accommodation, making it easy to arrive on time. Travel in a comfortable private vehicle with a driver dedicated to your group, avoiding the stress of public transport or overpriced taxis.
Select the 5.5-hour option to visit the Jewish Historical Museum and Portuguese Synagogue during your guided tour. Skip-the-line tickets allow you to step inside without waiting, giving you more time to explore. The museum offers deep insights into Jewish traditions, history, and the impact of Nazi persecution, making this an essential stop for those wanting to learn more.
Upgrade to the 6.5-hour option for private transportation with the 5.5-hour tour.
